Dr. Cunningham-Hill is an employee health expert known for his ability to create, identify and implement high-quality workplace health programs including prevention and screening, chronic illness interventions, and mental health and wellbeing initiatives. His broad occupational medicine and public health experience encompasses addressing chronic diseases impacting employers, employees and communities within the context of  social, cultural and racial determinants of health.

Mark has served as the Medical Director for Northeast Business Group on Health since early 2018. Until 2017, he served as Senior Director, Global Solutions Center and Head of Occupational Medicine at Johnson & Johnson, Inc . At J&J, Mark led a team of experts covering occupational medicine, health and wellness, personal energy management, EAP and mental wellbeing, and work-life effectiveness, and supported regional operational groups delivering health services to 135,000 employees in 120 companies. Prior to seven years at J&J, Mark spent 17 years at GlaxoSmithKline in both London and Philadelphia, including as Head of Global Operations, Employee Health Management.

Mark received his MB ChB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Manchester University in the UK. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, London.

Megan Hill, PT, DPT i s a licensed physical therapist focused on musculoskeletal rehab and chronic pain management. She dropped her plans to go to law school for physical therapy after a knee injury from the Chicago Marathon left her in need of rehab, and she hasn’t looked back since. She believes movement is the key to health, and is on a mission to empower people to manage their own health through exercise, education and support, rather than passive approaches to healing.

Megan earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Duke University and is a certified running coach.

She lives in Denver, Colorado, where she spends every spare second running, biking, hiking, sailing and stand up paddleboarding with her husband, Layton, and dog, Ollie.

Joel M. Press, MD.  Dr. Press graduated from the University of Michigan in 1980 with a B.S. Degree-with distinction, Microbiology.  He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine in 1984, and did his Internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University Medical School in 1984-85.  He completed his Residency at Northwestern University Medical School, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in 1988 where he was the Chief Resident.  He has been an attending physician at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago since 1988 and in 1989 he founded and directed the Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Centers at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.   He has published numerous articles, edited numerous textbooks, chaired numerous courses, and lectures extensively nationally and internationally on the rehabilitation of spine and sports related injuries.  Dr. Press was a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Reva and David Logan Distinguished Chair of Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation at the Feinberg/Northwestern University School of Medicine and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He was the Vice President of External Relations and the Executive Medical Director for Outpatient Physician Services at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is currently the Physiatrist-in-Chief and the Joel and Anne Ehrenkranz Chair of Physiatry at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weil/Cornell College of Medicine.  

Dr. Press is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and board certified by The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.  He is Past President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Past President of the North American Spine Society, Past President of The Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, and has been an Oral Board Examiner and Written Board Examination-item writer for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Karen Thomas is CorVel’s Director of Case Management Innovation. She has been a Registered Nurse for 34 years with experience in cardiac, critical care, labor and delivery, home health care, hospice. Her main focus has been on case management and technology solutions in various settings. Karen has taught nursing and case management at the undergraduate and graduate level and is a leader in developing new care models to heal injured workers and restore function. Currently, she oversees CorVel’s case management services which include early intervention nursing, return to work coordination, life care planning, case, utilization and disability management. Karen’s home base is in Virginia just outside of Washington DC and and loves her current role as CorVel’s visionary for nursing programs!

Becky Vea is the Vice President of People Operations at Health Catalyst, a healthcare technology company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Becky manages the People Operations team and the company’s benefits and compensation plans. During her five years at Health Catalyst, the company has doubled the number of team members as well as gone public (2019).

Prior to Health Catalyst, Becky’s experience in human resources spans fifteen years, with leadership roles at companies like Luxottica, the owners of Ray-Ban, Lenscrafters and Oakley, Discover Card, 1-800 CONTACTS, and glasses.com.
